Hey all! Lumi here, taking on creating a MoM trading card game. And I need your help! I've listed some of the basics of the game below, and I'd love feed back. For the most part I'm volunteering to make the cards to your specifications using a simple tool. However if you want to make your own through the same site or otherwise, please feel free!


Prototype Rules

Each player begins play with a deck of 30 cards. These cards can include (1) of any import (regardless of form they take) (1) of any one Relic and (2) of any one other card.

Objective: Each player starts with 30 health points (HP) and to win you must reduce your opponent's health to 0.

Cards types:

Creatures: Which are again divided between unique Imports, or minions.

Card Color: Each color abstractly represents one of the many philosophies featured in MoM. This is currently a WIP so suggestions are welcome!
Red: Unregistered - at best malcontent, at worst anarchists
Blue:: Registered - The system is there to protect everyone.
Green: Vigilante - Sometimes one has to act outside the law to uphold it
White: Hero - Altruism and compassion run in your veins
Black: Villain - What good is this world if I can't have it my way?
Silver: Relics - famous locations, artifacts, equipment

You can select up to two colors currently to have a hybrid philosophy. Also keep in mind that just because your character is, say registered, doesn't mean they have to be Blue. Blue can abstractly mean lawful, support the system. But your character is a Hero, and you want the base color to be White. And the opposite can be true, could be a cop or government agent, who is just doing their duty, so they're blue.

Super Powers: Generally One-time use powers that deal damage, heal, alter creatures, and more. These may be buffs, damage, or whatever, but all abilities can usually be described as either being "Targeted" or "Indirect". Targeted abilities mean that when you play a card, you choose a target of that ability. This is the most common type. "Indirect" cards means you don't select a target, the game does that for you. Such as cards that affect all, or a random target. While wild, this might over come an ability that would otherwise prevent you from targeting someone.

Relic: Usually they have a constant effect that alters the playing field. I.e. summoning minions, healing imports, giving all allied creatures an ability etc Limit (1) currently. These can only be affected by powers or creatures with abilities that specifically target them, unless they are listed with a toughness. Then they can be attacked directly.

Resources:
Each player starts the match with 1 RP (Resource Point), and at the beginning of a player's turn their points are replenished, and they gain +1 to their max RP starting on their second turn, to a maximum of 10 on turn 10. At this time points are still replenished but no additional points are gained.


Cards cost anywhere from 0-10 depending on their strength, effect, or written in additional costs (such as sacrificing a creature)

Game Field
Each player has a 7 slot field where they can play any legal combination of cards. No more than 7 cards can be in play per player, however Super Powers do not take up a slot, as they are one time use. Cards that are destroyed are removed from play. There is no "graveyard" so to speak. So cards and Imports with "resurrection" abilities will be limited to bringing back cards that were destroyed same turn.

Creature Card abilities:
Some creatures cards, be it minion or imports, will have abilities. These may either be an IC custom ability created for that card or more commonly there are a few powers that might end up being universally used. Those will be simplified into single, easily recognizable words. Examples of such being:

Defender=This card must be destroyed before any other targets may be attacked by enemy creatures. Generally for characters that are used to throwing themselves into the fray as a "shield" or "tank"
(Examples of characters that might have this: Captain America, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Minion Cops)

Agile: This card can act that same turn it's summoned. Normally a card is "preparing" for one round after it's summoned before it can attack.

Enrage(X): Every time this card takes damage from any source, increase it's power by X

Stealth: This creature cannot be targeted by creatures or abilities until it attacks.

Inspiration=An effect that happens when this card comes into play, or a certain trigger happens. This effect is unique to the card using it, and a description of what it is needs to be added.
(Examples of this might be: Summon three 1/1 wolves when it enters the field, heal a target by 2 at the end of every turn, Or deal 1 damage to enemy player any time a creature would be destroyed)

Regeneration(X)=How many Defense points it recovers at the beginning of it's owner's turn, equal to X value

Retribution=And effect that goes off when this card is destroyed.
(Examples of this might be: Summon a 1/1 zombie, deal 1 damage to every enemy, or draw a card)

Deadly: When this creature deals damage to another creature, destroy that creature instead of damaging it.
(This is for characters that have a means of attack that bypass health, resistances, or toughness. Such as a lightsaber, a poison that can't be treated, or a magical notebook)

Fast Attack: When a card attacks another, creatures with this ability do damage first. Which may potentially defeat the other card before it's had a chance to damage it back.

EXAMPLE CARD


The number at the top (7) is it's resource cost, so it's likely this can't be played until turn 7. Barring any abilities that add resources earlier.

The two numbers at the bottom are it's Attack/Defense. This is how much damage it does, versus how much damage it can take before it's destroyed. This is an abstract number that simulates their over all abilities. Keeping in mind 1/1 is a regular human, one would increase a character's values according to how many factors you would believe your character to be above a human. ABSTRACTLY. Keep in mind that as these numbers increase, so too does it's cost. (an average of 1 resource per +1/1) When one creature attacks another, they both deal damage to each other equal to their Attack. Defense does not naturally regenerate, but can be healed

In the middle of the card shows it's Type. For this example it shows 'Revan' is a creature, but further breaks it down to express what categories he fills. The next section shows if he's an ImPort or Minion, and then any additional types are either flavor, or if you want to have a card buff or effect only one "type" of creature, this would be where to add a defining word. For this example 'Revan' is a Jedi as well as an Antihero. So anything that would specifically target Imports, Jedi, or Antiheroes would make him a legal target.

Each turn, a player may play as many cards as they can afford, and attack a single time with any creature able to attack that turn, in any order they so choose.

Start of the Game

Each player draws 3 cards, may look at them and discard any number of them. Then they may draw the number of cards discarded this way ONCE.

Then turn order is established, usually through coin toss.

To make up for the disadvantage of going second, the second player to act gets a (0) cost +1 temporary resource token card they may spend on any of their turns to temporarily increase their total available RPs by 1 for that turn.

Also at the beginning of the turn each player draws one card to add to their hand. No established hand size as of yet.

Card Creation Rules:

Feel free to contribute your own ideas or cards to add to the overall list of available cards. There are plenty of options of card types to work with, however when it comes to the actual construction there are two options depending on your tastes:

Either you can submit the details for a card by filling out the form below, or you can go to the site and do the work yourself! Honestly I'm fine with either. If you plan to submit just the form below, I'm going to get a kick out of creating the card for you, so no worries!

Words of Advice: When creating these cards, a helpful rule to keep in mind (as far as balance goes) is it's about 2(normal) to 3(strong) points for every RP. Meaning for each RP something costs, the card's numerical values can have 2 added.

For example a 1 RP minion might be a 1/1 and nothing else. Or a strong 1 RP creature might be a 1/1 and deal 1 damage to a target when it comes onto the field with it's inspiration.
A 2/4 would be about 3 RP
A 5/7 with 'destroy target creature when X happens' might be more expensive and be 8 RP. I won't break down every ability into an RP cost so lets just do what feels right for now.

ALSO! Keep in mind that the lore is that these cards are being made by ImPort fans, meaning you can make the cards accurately tailored to your character, or create a card based on the public appearance they give. OR BOTH! There's no limit to submissions right now.

Nestled in the rundown squalor of Maurtia Falls neglected downtown, stands a beacon of hope for all ImPorts. The Helix Station is a gleaming example of ImPort ingenuity; it's marble-white duracrete walls seem to bloom from the drab surroundings tall and proud, bristling with high-tech sentry turrets and patrolled by troupe of robotic security droids. While some question the overt fortifications installed by Ambassador Revan, the person responsible for it's construction, no one can question it's potency. Rumor has it The Helix Station has been the site of several battles, all of which ended in favor of the ImPorts that fought in it's defense.

But despite it's reputation, Ambassador Revan has publicly stated that the purpose of the station is not conflict oriented. But a place to nurture the ImPort condition.

Designed in 2015, Revan realized that one thing that ImPorts lacked was a foundation for a community. Many ImPorts (particularly those that refused Government Aid) found themselves struggling to gain a foothold in their new lives, each ImPort only having their own wits and any meager handouts they can get. Surely not enough for them to strike out into the world and reach a state of success without a incredible effort.

ImPorts don't lack for ability, which is why Revan devised a place to create a fertile environment where ImPorts who were committed to improving their own status through honest work could get that extra push they needed to become independent and flourish. And thus the Helix Station was conceived.

What IS the Helix Station?

Simply put, the Helix Station is a well guarded sanctuary for ImPorts, new and veteran, to use in their times of need. A Community Center in a way. ImPorts struggling to find comfort in their lives, or have a dire need can visit anytime in complete safety. (Historically speaking) With no shortage of space currently, property is available to those that wish to try their hand at an enterprise, or wish to have a place to readily give aid to their community through a trade or service. This has the benefit of not only supporting those business owners, but also providing additional resources to those that visit.

So what can the Helix Station provide?

The full capacity of services is dependent on who has committed their aid to the station. But it's core facilities include the following:

-Plenty of space to set up a trade or service, as well as the tools and logistics needed to run such pro-bono.
-A small, but state of the art medical facility that currently revolves around the use of Bacta, a miraculous curative that grants an accelerated healing rate.
-Security and shelter should you need it.
-And more as ImPorts apply their skills towards helping the community

Why would someone want to set up a business or service here?

As mentioned above, be it a service or charity you wish to instate out of the goodness of your heart, or a comercial enterprise to make your way in the world, any ImPort can apply to set up shop within the premises. Not only will you be provided space tailored to your needs, but also the basic tools to get you started: such as computers, work phone lines, office furniture, or more particular items as needed.

So what's the catch?

None, depending on your perspective. As the station is, at it's core, a charity, ImPorts succeeding is exactly what the station is designed to promote. The facility's state is evolving, but for now there is very little restriction. The one note that those wishing to start their own business should keep in mind, is that the facility is designed to help you get on your feet. If your career takes off and becomes wildly successful, and clearly no longer needs the Station's support, other arrangements will likely need to be made. This can come in the form of a modest rent, or help relocating to a facility to become the business's new home. Status of careers may be regularly checked up on in the form of earning report requests from whomever is currently running the facility (currently Revan).

Revan is intimately in touch with the world around him due to his connection to the force. Normally this allows him to pick up on things about people due to his heightened sixth sense. Please let me know if there's something I should avoid, or you'd like me specifically to notice.

Things like:

1: Surface emotions - What your character is feeling. The more pure and intense the feeling, the easier it is for him to pick up.

2: Surface thoughts - Nothing too specific, but if you are concentrating on something enough, he might feel and/or see what you're thinking. Not word for word or in perfect detail, but enough to get a sense of what's going on.

3: Your power - Not necessarily your specific abilities, but your overall strength and will. Exactly what he can read varies from person to person.

A couple notes worth considering:

First, Revan will always try to settle matters through diplomacy and, failing that, manipulation. But if he's pushed he has no qualms with using lethal force.

Second, Revan is a manipulator. More often than not he has a scheme going or in the works. If you'd like to be a part of that, please let me know and we can work something out. Note that he is however not vicious in nature, but he is willing to sacrifice pawns to achieve what he believes to be a greater good.

PERSONALITY

Jedi are reared from a young age to be paragons of Justice, Truth, Compassion and Temperance. Even in his youth Revan was a shining example of all the qualities that the Jedi order aspired to, except for temperance. When it came to knowledge, Revan's appetite was insatiable and he dove into his studies with a zeal that many of the Order feared opened him to the temptations of the Dark side. Many of Revan's master's cautioned patience and restraint. However Revan continued heedless of their words and simply studied under a new master, learning all he could before moving on again. In this way Revan became proficient in a multitude of subjects from tactics and battle, to engineering, and any deeper truths of the Force he could find.

Unlike many Jedi, Revan was a passionate and willful soul and his impatience was a hallmark. Whenever a notion would take him that he felt strongly enough about, little would give him pause, including ethics. Such as when the Mandalorians began their conquest Revan was seized with grief for the victims of their genocide and demanded justice. But when denied he simply turned to his peers and convinced them to take up arms in defense of innocents. This act would ostracize him from his home and the Jedi order, effectively his family. However Revan was willing to sacrifice everything, including his life to help those suffering.

Revan had a way with people, a natural charm and inspiring charisma that pulled people in and had them flocking to his banner and ideals. Even the Republic military was taken by him and promoted him all the way up to Commander, becoming a champion to the people. A beacon of hope and inspiration.

However it was not his charm alone that won his respect. Despite his impatience, Revan had a natural ability for forethought. This, coupled with a strong perceptive nature allowed him to understand people deeply. It was both a source of compassion for those he saw suffering, as he intimately understood their pain, and his greatest weapon: his ability to manipulate others.

Revan could use this to devastating effect on his enemies, taking to heart the philosophy 'to know your enemy as you know yourself is victory'. But if it served his purposes his allies were equally effective targets for manipulation.

Unfortunately while Revan was a compassionate man, his bull headed pursuit of his objectives proved the Jedi Council right when they said it would open him to temptation. He viewed events and life through a skewed, far-sighted perspective where the End Goal, the Greater Good is all that matters. And to reach that end just about anything is acceptable. Even the corruptible influence of the Dark Side's forbidden power was a tool Revan believed he could use to save lives.

It's this view that caused Revan to sacrifice an entire fleet and planet to wipe out his enemies in one fell move. He saved the republic from the Mandalorians, but many of his allies were killed in the process. And why he sought to capture the Republic afterwards to reshape it into an effective weapon against the Emperor. Revan's disregard for the dangers of the Dark side and desire for power led to his fall.

It was only after his rebirth when his mind was wiped by the Jedi did Revan reconcile his mistakes. The Dark Side was no simple tool, it was a complex side of the Force that had to be respected and used with caution. Before he only saw it as a weapon, to be wielded against his enemies. But there was a subtle side to it. Emotions, he discovered, were a source of great strength, but being true to your emotions was not inherently corrupting. It was the difference between being ruled by your emotions and accepting them as a part of who you are.

Despite this, Revan never lost his far-sighted view of life. While more in control and conscious of his actions, when pushed into a corner Revan will fall back on his cold and totalitarian ways. Just like when he discovered the danger of the Sith Emperor he deemed it necessary to wipe out the entirety of the Sith Empire to bring peace.

True to the nature of Jedi, Revan is a warrior, a scholar and philosopher. But his time in the Mandalorian and later Jedi civil war left him a brilliant tactician and far more worldly than his force wielding peers. His manner of speech is usually composed and direct but he is given to bouts of snark and sarcasm. However with his charismatic nature he is capable of changing his behavior to fit a situation.

If at all possible Revan will try to settle matters with no, or minimal bloodshed through either persuasion or surgical attacks designed to break the moral of his enemies. However if the threat he or another faces is lethal and nothing can be done, Revan feels no qualms with taking lives to save lives or protect himself.

When not engaged in a serious matter Revan is a bit of a hobbyist, filling his time with scholarly pursuits or tinkering on something. He is sociable and easily approached for both companionship and/or to share his knowledge. Not just as a Jedi but as someone who has lived through the worst life can throw at you, he feels a natural urge to help others in an unbiased and open-minded manner. But the many betrayals and losses faced in his lifetime has left him guarded and those that try to form a personal connection will not find the task a simple one.

POWER:

1) Force in Balance (Canon Set): The Force is an energy that flows through all living things, binds them and sustains them. And it has two polarities: The Light Side and the Dark, which Revan can call on either by channeling his positive or negative emotions respectively. By doing so he can manipulate the Force in a variety of ways. However, while this power is drawn externally, much of Revan's personal energy is drained while acting as a conduit for the active powers. And as each ability is used by channeling a certain emotion, Revan cannot switch between active abilities quickly as time is required to refocus. Except for rage which comes too easily.

Light
Empathy: Empathy (Passive/Active) - Through the Force Revan can sense the surface emotions of other living beings. Also, by channeling his emotions into someone's mind he can implant simple subliminal thoughts such as 'I can trust him', 'better leave him alone' or these are not the droids you're looking for'. Strong will resists as it only works on the weak minded. And it is not mind control, it can't force someone to take an action that goes against their character.

Compassion: Healing (Active) - By channeling the living Force either into his own body or another's, Revan can slowly regenerate wounds or help the body fight off contaminants (such as poison or disease). This is extremely taxing and severe wounds or prolonged use will quickly exhaust him.

Serenity: Precognition (passive) - By emptying his mind Revan pick up on the flow of things in his immediate area around him. While focusing he can sense impending danger and attempt to avoid it. Not full proof, also distractions or strong emotions may disrupt this ability.

Will: Telekinesis (Active) - Ability to move objects through sheer force of will. A quick push or manipulating a small object takes negligible energy, but a larger object requires his full concentration and drains him rapidly.

Dark
Rage: Force Lightning/Physical enhancement (Active) - Rage is power. By focusing it outwards Revan can unleash it as a lethal current of electricity. Or, by directing his rage internally Revan can gain a quick boost to his physical parameters, such as burst of strength or agility. However the trade off on both is that Rage is chaustic and burns through his stamina quickly.

By channeling both sides of the Force simultaneously, Revan can unleash a blast of energy from his body of raw power at short range. His ultimate attack, but it drains him to the point of near incapacitation. A last ditch, trump card.

2) Infinite Engine (Canon): Autonomous Construction - Universal Tool. A sliver of the Star Forge. Revan can direct his personal energy into the shard to begin constructing objects. However, this ability is limited by several factors: Revan can only build objects of which he has prior knowledge. And while the Engine can manipulate and reform matter, it needs the material components required to produce the desired creation. Finally, a large amount of Revan's personal energy is required to operate the Engine. When in operation, all of Revan's Active abilities are sealed. Prolonged use the machine will drain Revan and he'll have to rest before using it again.

Because of the direct and efficient way the Engine works it cuts the construction time of any task down to a half of it's normal crafting time for most standard, non-complex projects.

BACKGROUND:

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away

In a time of great strife, the Galactic Republic sat as the central power in the galaxy, a shining beacon of Democracy and Order. Many worlds banded together under benevolent leadership. This was largely due to the effective reliance on their allies, the Jedi: a monastic group of warriors that was charged as Galactic Peacekeepers by the Republic. Much faith was placed on them because of their martial prowess, commitment to peace and order and their supernatural abilities. These powers were derived from each Jedi's natural ability to harness and manipulate the Living Force, a current of energy that flows through and effects all life, in many ways.

Seeing the Republic as a worthy opponent, the warlike and bloodthirsty Mandalorian Warrior Culture used their superior weapons and technology to launch an invasion upon the unsuspecting Republic. Unable to halt their advance, the Republic called on the Jedi for help to combat this threat. But from the depths of space the Jedi sensed a darker purpose, a hidden threat that had not yet revealed itself. Believing caution to be the wiser course the Jedi abstained from entering the war. They decided it best to remain vigilant for this unseen darkness and prepare for it instead.

However, a young Jedi (Later known as Revan) stepped forward and criticized the Order's inactivity, saying that as they sat around and debated on what should be done, millions where dying as worlds burned under Mandalorian tyranny. Many were inspired by his words even as the Jedi Council condemned his sentiment. Revan's close friend Alek was the first to join his side, but not the last. Like-minded Jedi, especially among the young, flocked to his cause and together they set off to reinforce the beleaguered Republic.

While their actions were considered heretical by the council, the Republic at large lauded Revan and his followers. They even took to calling them Revanchists, a titled loosely translated as "Crusaders". Using the unique talents of the Jedi, Revan led his followers on several skirmishes across the front line: Scouting the enemy's position, gauging their strength, and striking key targets of interest in fast paced guerrilla warfare. The information they provided to the Republic military was instrumental in several major victories.

So successful and beneficial were the action of Revan and his followers that they became celebrities in Republic space. While the Jedi 'renagades' were risen to hero status, none were more so than Revan himself. So taken by his heroic deeds and charming personality the public began to refer to him as 'The Revanchist leader' and eventually to just 'The Revanchist'. They saw him as a savior, a symbol to rally behind. Something the Rupublic took full advantage of by offering his group a position within the miliary, code naming them the 'Mercy Corp.' This granted him the rank and resources as well as troops and ships for him to command.

Shortly after, Revan was tasked with scouting out the planet Cathar and discovering the whereabouts of it's similarly named residents. The planet was completely vacant and the Cathars that originally inhabited it were nowhere to be found. However this proved the opportunity the Jedi council was waiting for and when the Revanchists arrived, so to did a force of Jedi. With the planet deserted the Jedi intended to apprehend the renegade Revanchist movement with no witnesses.

But as they debated each-others actions, Revan stumbled upon a metal mask in the sand. As soon as he touched it the entire gathering was overwhelmed by a Force-induced vision. In it the Cathar were hearded into the ocean by a Mandalorian pursuit force which prepared to massacre them all. A single Mandalorian broke ranks and stood between the two sides, begging her comrades to stand down. She explained the Cathar were defeated and there was no honor in slaughtering them like this. But the commander gave her an ultimatum. Stand with the Mandalorians, or stand with the Cathar and be killed. Sticking to her morals the lone Mandalorian stood with the helpless Cathar people and was gunned down with the rest of them.

Coming back from his vision, Revan was overcome with emotion and donned the mask, drawing his lightsaber and declaring to the those gathered that his name was now Revan! And from that moment on he would bear that mask of sacrifice until the Mandalorians were brought to justice for their vile atrocities.

The Jedi begrudgingly agreed to sanction Revan and his followers, shocked as they were by the reality of Mandalorian cruelty. But they still refused to help him actively, stating Revan was walking a dangerous line.

At this point Revan committed his forces to aggressively battling the Mandalorians instead of just as a supporting role. As a militarized group, the Mercy Corp won several key victories. Revan proved to be a peerless strategist who used his precognitive abilities and observational skills to completely outwit the Mandalorians time and again. So impressed by his tactical aptitude the Chancellor of the Galactic Senate named Revan Supreme Commander of the Republic military. This granted him direct command of over a third of their total forces. By this time Revan and begun to realize that the Republic was losing this war despite his best efforts. The Mandalorians were just too viscous, too aggressive. And the only way to beat them was to adopt a 'Victory at all costs' mentality to prevent the Republic itself from falling.

With this cold and calculating mentality, Revan began to make sacrifices and made choices others deemed 'moral shortcuts'. The Mandalorian way of thinking was very rigid and direct. Something Revan took full advantage of to manipulate them into several extremely costly defeats. By sacrificing entire worlds he gave them an enticing target, and Revan used this method to draw them in, over extend them, and crush them when they were cut off from their allies.

It was these dark and morbidly effective tactics that ultimately won them the war. But some claimed that the hardships of war were the initial push for Revan and Alek down the dark side. But many did not know that during the final stages of the war Revan and Alek stumbled across an ancient artifact, the Star Maps, that not only held many enticing secrets but also described a device of unfathomable power called the Star Forge. Tempted by this Revan made his personal goal to hunt these artifacts down and claim them for his own. With the knowledge found there he traveled to a secret academy of the Sith, a culture opposed to the Jedi philosophy of peace and virtue, and learned many more powerful secrets there.

This was completely against the code of the Jedi who saw the teachings of the Sith as immoral and an abomination. By secretly pursuing these secrets Revan had quietly betrayed everything the Jedi had stood for for thousands of years.

Openly he still believe in his cause to be just and pushed the Republic to victory. In his mind his actions still made complete logical sense. By tapping into these dark mysterious he could use their power to save thousands in the short term. But so seduced was he by the dark side that much of Revan's morality began to slip away. While he fought for what he believed to be justice many were sacrificed as pawns to achieve said Justice.

In the final battle of Malachor V Revan used a super weapon called the Mass Shadow Generator to destroy a majority of the Mandalorian fleet. However, in order to lure them within range, Revan had to provide them with suitable bait. And he found this bait in his own numbers. Many saw Revan's over aggressive and immoral actions as signs he was slipping to the dark side. Word had begun spreading that Revan was no longer suitable to lead them. And these voices of dissent curiously all found themselves engaged in battle with the Mandalorian fleet when the MSG went off. Revan had annihilated all of his enemies in one fell swoop.

During the Battle the leader of the Mandalorians, Mandalor, challenged Revan to a duel. Despite his might he was ultimately defeated by Revan's frightful power. As he lay dying, he mocked Revan, explaining that both of them were being manipulated into this war by an unseen force. Before his last breath Mandalor explained where to find this unseen force.

Sparing no time to indulge in his victory, Revan and Alek, now using the name Malak, ventured off to search for this mysterious instigator. On Dromund Kaas, they discovered the Emperor of the Sith and his hidden Sith Empire. In their arrogance they assaulted the Emperor but they were easily defeated by his overwhelming might. The duo were helpless as the Emperor twisted thier and turned them into his willing servants.

His first task was to take their force of loyal Jedi and military and find the legendary artifact, the Star Forge: A space station capable of mass producing entire fleets of warships and battle droids and use it to take over the Republic. During their journey the pair of newly anointed Sith Lords began to shake off the control of the Emperor. However, so corrupted by the dark Side that they gave into their cravings for power and decided to take over the galaxy themselves.

Using the Star Forge, and those Jedi and Republic Troops they had corrupted to their side, Revan and Malak returned to Republic Space with an armada and systematically began to take over the galaxy. While Malak had been consumed by his blood-lust and reveled in the battle, Revan took a much subtler approach to his conquest. Leaving the majority of planets and their population intact Revan actually persevered the economy of the Republic so as to use the resources to take the fight to the Emperor after he was done with the exhausted Republic.

To minimize collateral damage, Revan constructed his ever faithful companion, HK-47. And elite assassination droid which he used to great effect. Many key targets fell to HK and in this way Revan could defeat entire worlds with only a few deaths.

Malak saw all of Revan's tiptoeing around as weakness, not appropriate for a sith lord. And during one battle when several Jedi infiltrated Revan's flagship, Malak saw the perfect opportunity to be rid of his 'merciful' master once and for all. When Revan engaged in battle with the Jedi Malak fired on Revan's bridge. Believing Revan to be dead, Malak assumed full control over their forces and begins a long and bloody siege of the Republic core worlds. Unlike Revan, Malak's thirst for wanton destruction escalated the conflict and resulted in the death of millions.

However Revan had not been killed on that fateful day. In fact it was the Jedi Knight Bastilla Shan who had saved his broken body and returned it to Republic space. Jedi do not kill their prisoners as their code forbids the death of anyone who is helpless. However, Revan's unheard of power could not be allowed free into the galaxy once again so the council used their combined might to seal Revan's powers and wipe his memory.

When Revan did finally awake, it was as a new person and a soldier in the Republic Navy. Confused and disoriented he tried to gather his wits as the ship he was being transported on came under attack by the Sith. A Republic officer named Carth Onasi helped him into an escape pod and together they made their way to the planet below, Taris.

It was there that again they met Bastilla, who sensed the force returning in Revan. As a step of caution she recommended they meet with the Jedi order to discuss this and they stole a ship, the Ebon Hawk, to flee the planet as Malak bombarded the surface.

On Dantooine, Revan was trained in the ways of the force again by the Jedi in the hope that he would not return to his Dark Side roots. But during his training he received visions of his past self. However he misinterpreted these visions, believing Revan to be a different person. He rightly believed this 'Revan' to be the cause of all the galaxies suffering and could not sit by while the Republic crumbled.

Obviously the irony was lost on him at that time.

So compelled was he to learn the truth of the matter that he set off again, urged by the council to find the cause of Malak's great military strength, The Star Forge and destroy it. Bastilla accompanied him to both keep tabs on him and because of her growing feelings for Revan. Together they and their allies found the remaining Star Maps and with them, a way to get to the Star Forge.

Unfortunately before they could take action, Malak caught up with Revan and his allies and captured them. Of course Malak recognized his old master immediately and mocks him as pathetic, explaining whom he really is and corrupting Bastilla to the dark side as a way of hurting Revan more. Revan however escaped and went in pursuit of Malak to the Star Forge. However he was not alone. With a clear path to the Forge the Republic once again rallied behind Revan and assaulted the Sith forces protecting the Forge.

Malak sensed Revan had arrived and sent Bastilla to remove him. His hope was that even if she did not kill him Revan would be forced to kill her, weakening his resolve and making it easier to defeat him later. This did not turn out to be the case. They did fight, but during the furious exchange Revan was able to pull Batilla from her corruption with his love and saved her.

All that was left was Malak now. However with Revan's mastery of both the Light and the Dark sides of the Force, Malak was defeated after a terrible battle.

Together Revan and Bastilla returned to the Republic and the Jedi council victorious. While the Council invited them back they also forbade them from teaching their beliefs to other jedi. Over the course of his journey Revan had explored all that both the dark and the light side had to offer and realized that there was power in balance. Positively channeled and controlled emotions could be source of great strength. But the Jedi insisted that such teaching were against their code, as they believed emotions were a medium for corruption.

Over time Revan's memories began to return in full. And as they did he remembered his original goal. The Emperor and his Sith army. However this time he would take it slow and gather details, confirming for sure the existence of the Sith Lord (as his memories were disjointed and confusing) before taking action. However during his investigation he was attacked by a sith ship and wounded in the crash. The Sith that captured Revan interrogated him and kept him prisoner for several years. During this time he formed a bond with one of his Sith Captors, Lord Scourge, who was impressed by Revan's abilities and knowledge. Revan foretold that he would be rescued and in time they would be allies. A slight bluff.

However when one of Revan's old Lieutenants and trusted friend, Meetra Surik, arrived to free him, Scourge was so impressed he decided to help Revan slay the Emperor, if only to secure his own position.

Together the three of them attacked the Emperor and with Revan's power of the Force in balance, and two other gifted force wielders at his side, they pushed him back. For the moment they fought to a standstill until Scourge received a vision showing another Jedi to be the cause of the Emperor's death. Believing their battle to now be futile, Scourge stabbed Meetra in the back, giving the Emperor and opening and self fulfilling his prophecy.

Beaten and broken, Revan was captured again and held for three hundred years, kept alive by a dark Sith ritual and interrogated by the Emperor. Through this connection the Emperor learned many things, but it was a two way street. Revan also was able to collect information in secret and influence the Emperor in return. In this way Revan implanted the notion of caution and subtly in the Emperor, halting his conquest of the Republic.

Later Revan was freed by a Republic strike force aided by the disembodied spirit of Meetra Surik. However, this time in isolation and mental torture had made Revan cold again. Still maintaining the balance of the Force, he however saw the evil of the Emperor and his Sith as something that needed to be destroyed at all costs.

Using information he had kept from the Emperor he departed for another facility similar to the Star Forge. With it he began to create a massive droid army with the sole intention of wiping the Empire and all it's inhabitants of the face of the galaxy. Before his plan could come to fruition, Revan was defeated by the Sith, vanishing in a flash of power.

PERSONALITY

Jedi are reared from a young age to be paragons of Justice, Truth, Compassion and Temperance. Even in his youth Revan was a shining example of all the qualities that the Jedi order aspired to, except for temperance. When it came to knowledge, Revan's appetite was insatiable and he dove into his studies with a zeal that many of the Order feared opened him to the temptations of the Dark side. Many of Revan's master's cautioned patience and restraint. However Revan continued heedless of their words and simply studied under a new master, learning all he could before moving on again. In this way Revan became proficient in a multitude of subjects from tactics and battle, to engineering, and any deeper truths of the Force he could find.

Unlike many Jedi, Revan was a passionate and willful soul and his impatience was a hallmark. Whenever a notion would take him that he felt strongly enough about, little would give him pause, including ethics. Such as when the Mandalorians began their conquest Revan was seized with grief for the victims of their genocide and demanded justice. But when denied he simply turned to his peers and convinced them to take up arms in defense of innocents. This act would ostracize him from his home and the Jedi order, effectively his family. However Revan was willing to sacrifice everything, including his life to help those suffering.

Revan had a way with people, a natural charm and inspiring charisma that pulled people in and had them flocking to his banner and ideals. Even the Republic military was taken by him and promoted him all the way up to Commander, becoming a champion to the people. A beacon of hope and inspiration.

However it was not his charm alone that won his respect. Despite his impatience, Revan had a natural ability for forethought. This, coupled with a strong perceptive nature allowed him to understand people deeply. It was both a source of compassion for those he saw suffering, as he intimately understood their pain, and his greatest weapon: his ability to manipulate others.

Revan could use this to devastating effect on his enemies, taking to heart the philosophy 'to know your enemy as you know yourself is victory'. But if it served his purposes his allies were equally effective targets for manipulation.

Unfortunately while Revan was a compassionate man, his bull headed pursuit of his objectives proved the Jedi Council right when they said it would open him to temptation. He viewed events and life through a skewed, far-sighted perspective where the End Goal, the Greater Good is all that matters. And to reach that end just about anything is acceptable. Even the corruptible influence of the Dark Side's forbidden power was a tool Revan believed he could use to save lives.

It's this view that caused Revan to sacrifice an entire fleet and planet to wipe out his enemies in one fell move. He saved the republic from the Mandalorians, but many of his allies were killed in the process. And why he sought to capture the Republic afterwards to reshape it into an effective weapon against the Emperor. Revan's disregard for the dangers of the Dark side and desire for power led to his fall.

It was only after his rebirth when his mind was wiped by the Jedi did Revan reconcile his mistakes. The Dark Side was no simple tool, it was a complex side of the Force that had to be respected and used with caution. Before he only saw it as a weapon, to be wielded against his enemies. But there was a subtle side to it. Emotions, he discovered, were a source of great strength, but being true to your emotions was not inherently corrupting. It was the difference between being ruled by your emotions and accepting them as a part of who you are.

Despite this, Revan never lost his far-sighted view of life. While more in control and conscious of his actions, when pushed into a corner Revan will fall back on his cold and totalitarian ways. Just like when he discovered the danger of the Sith Emperor he deemed it necessary to wipe out the entirety of the Sith Empire to bring peace.

True to the nature of Jedi, Revan is a warrior, a scholar and philosopher. But his time in the Mandalorian and later Jedi civil war left him a brilliant tactician and far more worldly than his force wielding peers. His manner of speech is usually composed and direct but he is given to bouts of snark and sarcasm. However with his charismatic nature he is capable of changing his behavior to fit a situation.

If at all possible Revan will try to settle matters with no, or minimal bloodshed through either persuasion or surgical attacks designed to break the moral of his enemies. However if the threat he or another faces is lethal and nothing can be done, Revan feels no qualms with taking lives to save lives or protect himself.

When not engaged in a serious matter Revan is a bit of a hobbyist, filling his time with scholarly pursuits or tinkering on something. He is sociable and easily approached for both companionship and/or to share his knowledge. Not just as a Jedi but as someone who has lived through the worst life can throw at you, he feels a natural urge to help others in an unbiased and open-minded manner. But the many betrayals and losses faced in his lifetime has left him guarded and those that try to form a personal connection will not find the task a simple one.
POWER:

1) Force in Balance (Canon Set): The Force is an energy that flows through all living things, binds them and sustains them. And it has two polarities: The Light Side and the Dark, which Revan can call on either by channeling his positive or negative emotions respectively. By doing so he can manipulate the Force in a variety of ways. However, while this power is drawn externally, much of Revan's personal energy is drained while acting as a conduit for the active powers. And as each ability is used by channeling a certain emotion, Revan cannot switch between active abilities quickly as time is required to refocus. Except for rage which comes too easily.

Light
Empathy: Empathy (Passive/Active) - Through the Force Revan can sense the surface emotions of other living beings. Also, by channeling his emotions into someone's mind he can implant simple subliminal thoughts such as 'I can trust him', 'better leave him alone' or these are not the droids you're looking for'. Strong will resists as it only works on the weak minded. And it is not mind control, it can't force someone to take an action that goes against their character.

Compassion: Healing (Active) - By channeling the living Force either into his own body or another's, Revan can slowly regenerate wounds or help the body fight off contaminants (such as poison or disease). This is extremely taxing and severe wounds or prolonged use will quickly exhaust him.

Serenity: Precognition (passive) - By emptying his mind Revan pick up on the flow of things in his immediate area around him. While focusing he can sense impending danger and attempt to avoid it. Not full proof, also distractions or strong emotions may disrupt this ability.

Will: Telekinesis (Active) - Ability to move objects through sheer force of will. A quick push or manipulating a small object takes negligible energy, but a larger object requires his full concentration and drains him rapidly.

Dark
Rage: Force Lightning/Physical enhancement (Active) - Rage is power. By focusing it outwards Revan can unleash it as a lethal current of electricity. Or, by directing his rage internally Revan can gain a quick boost to his physical parameters, such as burst of strength or agility. However the trade off on both is that Rage is chaustic and burns through his stamina quickly.

By channeling both sides of the Force simultaneously, Revan can unleash a blast of energy from his body of raw power at short range. His ultimate attack, but it drains him to the point of near incapacitation. A last ditch, trump card.

2) Infinite Engine (Canon): Autonomous Construction - Universal Tool. A sliver of the Star Forge. Revan can direct his personal energy into the shard to begin constructing objects. However, this ability is limited by several factors: Revan can only build objects of which he has prior knowledge. And while the Engine can manipulate and reform matter, it needs the material components required to produce the desired creation. Finally, a large amount of Revan's personal energy is required to operate the Engine. When in operation, all of Revan's Active abilities are sealed. Prolonged use the machine will drain Revan and he'll have to rest before using it again.

Because of the direct and efficient way the Engine works it cuts the construction time of any task down to a half of it's normal crafting time for most standard, non-complex projects.

COMMUNITY POST (VOICE) SAMPLE:
[Revan regards the camera from his seat with a delighted smile. However, despite his mirth there is a weight to his words and a weary look in his eyes.]

Hello again. As always it is the greatest of pleasure to find myself in the company of my noble companions. I know, for some of us, we might not be very close. Some of you might still not even know whom I am.

[He gives a gentle wave to dismiss any negative interpretation.]

That's fine. Know that I am continuing my efforts to bring to light the truth's of our situation. And I will continue to do so for as long as I am able. However-

[Here is where his smile falters and the fatigue he had done so well to hide rears it's head.]

I've done some poking around into the lore of these Porters and the Imports of the past. It seems another such world was in a similar situation as we find ourselves now. And how it ended... [Tone turning grim.] Yes. Ended.

[Revan heaves a deep sigh and sinks further back into his seat.]

This Atropos or whatever it's called. What can you tell me about it?

FINAL NOTES:

Three? Funny. You'd think an international terrorist would have more guards outside his safe house than three. For someone who apparently claims to be an expert on ImPort and metahuman physiology would take further precaution against those very beings he mercilessly experimented on.

From the shadows none of them saw the robed figure slide up alley until he was almost upon them. The shadows parted, slipping across his body as if reluctant to let him free as Revan emerges into the meager light that illuminates the single door. The three grunts, paralyzed into inaction for the briefest of moments gawkes as the simple shadowed figure seemes to fill the entirety of the narrow path.

However they recover quickly, raising their automatic weapons. Revan could sense terror seizing them, clouding their mind and knew they would fire any moment without giving him the chance to speak.

"No."

It wasn't a denial, nor a cry for mercy. When Revan spoke it was little more than a whisper, but it seemed to ring in each of their ears with commanding sense of finality. A statement that simply explained such an outcome was not possible

Revan raises one hand and each of the men flies backwards and sticks to the wall as if pinned by a bizarre shift of gravity. Before they could shout out he gives a slight flourish, ending with his hand clasping into a fist. Immediately the air was blasts from each of their lungs as their innards twist into a bunch, being crushed by his will.

With nothing more to stop him Revan steps up to the innocuous door, heedless of of the gangster's choked cries. As he moves he pulls a piece of weathered metal from his side with a gentleness that bordered reverence. Slowly he brings it up and rests it on his face. Almost at once the world quiets. It does not go away, the chaos of civilization continues to swirl around him like a typhoon but he stands in the center of it in perfect tranquility. As if in the eye of the storm.

With passing interest Revan senses the remaining consciousness slipping from the guards. If he held them like that a few minutes more they would die.

It would be a simple thing to just let them pass. But perhaps he should just snap their necks and end it then. Through his visor he gazes up at the last goon to retain his awareness.

"Do you intend to continue hunting ImPorts?" Revan's asked simply, his voice coming out with a metallic tang, as it passed through the vocabulator in his mark, stripping any recognizable character from his voice. For moment the man didn't respond, fear and confusion blinding his sense. But as the desperation and darkness takes him he shakes his head, what little he can.

"And do you plan to retire from organized crime?" A longer delay this time but he nods frantically after a moment. Through the torrent of emotions playing through the man, Revan could sense that at least at this moment the man meant every word. He let the man sit a moment longer before he turns back to the door.

"See that you remember your words this day. Or..." And he lets the words hang in the air, as the men fall crumpled to the ground.

With a subtle flick of his wrist the door clicks, the latching mechanism coming free and slowly swings open for him.

A calculated risk. Could he trust them to keep their word? As inspired by fear as it is, they were a dishonest lot. Killing them would be more simple. Maybe it was a good move. Fear was infections and maybe it would cause people like them to think twice.

Maybe. Or maybe he was just a sentimental fool. The thought brought a smile to Revan's face. For the briefest of moments. But it faded as he stepped through the door. The man inside was a cold blooded killer.

And Revan was out of sentiment.
